Czuchraj Meats-
Beef Jerky- The Best I Ever had- It was featured on Food Networks “ The Best
Thing I Ever Ate by Michael Symon.
2)
The Cheese Shop-
They have the best selection of exotic cheeses.
3)
Michelle’s
Bakery- They have the best breads but most of all their Brioche, Mediteranean
Herb, Pretzel and Sour Dough.
4)
Cake Royale-
Their Canolis and Macarons are absolutley awesome.
5)

There are many more great vendors at West Side Market but these are one I

West Side Market
Second
Stop was Breakfast at Slymans Restaurant.
They hands down have the best Corned Beef and Pastrami
I have ever eaten. It’s a small place and they are only open from 9-1 on
Saturday’s so get there early because once they are out they are out.
Pastrami Melt with a Runny Egg
Third
Stop Was El Carnicero in Lakewood.
This place is Modern Mexican and is owned by the same
owner as Momocho’s. Momocho’s is rated
one of the top restaurants in Cleveland and with the quality of food El Carnicero
is right there too. We had the Guacemole Sample and Chile Relleno’s. We had to
pace ourselves so we ordered apps and split small plates..
Salmon Smoked Guac,
Orange Habenero Guac, and Goat Cheese Guac with Fresh Hot out of the
Fryer Chips.
Fourth
Stop was A Cookie and A Cupcake in Tremont.
Wow. I don’t think I have ever had frosting and smooth
as the frosting on that cupcake. According to the owner it is a recipe handed
down from her Grandmother. I have had cupcakes from Sprinkles and Georgetown
Cupcakes in Washington DC and this one was just as good or better then those.
In Cleveland!!!
Cookie Monster, Salted Caramel and Espresso
Cupcakes.
Fifth
Stop was Loop Coffee Shop in Tremont.
For those of you how are familiar with Wall House
Coffee in Sugarcreek, OH this place is right there with Wall House Coffee.
Sixth
Stop was Hot Sauce Williams.
This place was featured on a TV show called Man VS
Food sometime ago for a sandwhich called the Polish Girl. It is a Polish Sausage on a hot dog bun with
fries, cole slaw, hot sauce, and pork shoulder. I hear they also have great
ribs.
Our
Seventh and Last Stop was Jeni’s Ice Cream in Chagrin Falls.
If you have never been to Chagrin Falls it is a must
go. It is a quaint village with great shopping and restaurants. In the center of town they have a nice area
to sit and enjoy the water falls. Jeni’s hs locations in Columbus mostly but
they also have one in Chagrin Falls.
Chagrin Falls
Most of these places are
small independently owned shops and eateries which I have found out are some of
the best. There are so many more places that are great but the best part of
these places is they don’t cost a fortune. They all have fair prices and great
quality products. If you have any more questions feel free to contact me at kevinyoderfoodie@gmail.com. I am
always looking for your favorite spots as well so I can try them out for myself.
Food For Thought
For those of you that are also my Facebook friends as you go about eating remember what I posted regarding the miracle of food. For those of you who are not my Facebook friends. Have you ever given the thought that most of the food we eat is a miracle. Before Jesus came it was forbidden to eat pork, mixed grain breads and milk products with most meats. So as you eat be sure to give Jesus not only the glory for our Salvation and Redemption but also for the great things we can eat together because He came.
